In this episode they continue their deep dive into the “core” of Jesus’s mission—it’s not to plant a new religious movement, or to reset our moral compass, or to warn us of the consequences of rejecting a relationship with God. The mission of Jesus is, simply, to restore what is broken in our relationship with God—our ability to trust, and to be trusted. Once trust is broken in that ancient encounter with the serpent in the garden, it can’t be forced or coerced or controlled into alignment. It has to be romanced. So let’s explore what trust really looks like, and how we can recover intimacy in our relationship with Jesus…
