DIG IN- A Practical Guide to Studying God's Word

God's Word - Bible Study

by CookieCalder on 06/30/2010
Hi, Here is a simple Bible study that I used with some of my High School kids. It looks at The bible what it is and aims to gets students to start reading the bible for themselves and possibly journaling as well. It is only small and is meant to prompt discussion rather than running straight through it. I found that weaving in personal experiences of how I find reading the Bible beneficial really helped the kids to see why they should read it for themselves as well! Anyways hope that it can be usefully to you in your ministry! God Bless CookieCalder

24 Basic Small Group Do's and Don'ts

by Matt McGill on 05/11/2010

We found it challenging to train first time small group leaders. Too little information, and they felt under prepared. Too much information left them feeling overwhelmed. Neither was good!

At the end of our training, we would conclude with a simple list do’s and don’ts. The idea wasn’t for them to remember all of them, 24 is way too many!

Instead, this tool was something a leader could look at regularly to find one idea they could apply to enhance their ministry

Who Is Jesus

by Matt McGill on 05/04/2010

We wanted to quickly teach our students the basics about Jesus. We created this tool and made it available to our small group leaders, at our weekly crowd program, mailed it out when students asked for more information, and passed it out to every student leaving our outreach events.

One last thing: we took out all the formatting so you could customize it for your ministry!
