I wonder how many times I have watered down God’s message in the spirit of humor or entertainment factor.
I find myself going to other youth group functions and think man are we dull. But as you said what is our intent? I'm a volunteer Youth Minister while we are in search of a full time one and i get discuraged easily. Thanks for the truth, I needed to hear it!

OffensiveThanks for your comments. It's nice to know someone actually reads these... Glad God has used it.

OffensiveI have never put in humor on purpose. But in some way God seems to always put it in at just the right time. As for video clips, once again, God has always moved my heart when to use it. If a clip comes to me, it comes instantly to me. I really love this sentence that you wrote; "God has not called us into youth ministry to entertain students; this generation of students does not need anymore entertainment options". And you said it best; students need God and the Truth. Youth Pastors are not cruise recreation directors!
