The lightning rod issue I overhear most? Without a doubt, it’s a super-charged frustration with parents who are not “pulling their weight” in the hard work of discipling their own children. The problem is, I always hear way more complaining about this problem than ideas that are effective in addressing it.Here are the best of the best.
But what if your parents could care less about what their youth is doing? These don't parents don't omce to church, are fine with their youth(s) being there but when you talk about it with them, the door is slammed. I think it is great to do parent stuff with parents who are willing but half of my group's parents could really care less about them. I don't hear a lot at all on what to do with these type of parents.

OffensiveThis is good stuff. And Emily...I feel your pain. This has been my struggle for almost a year now. I'm working on getting into their homes. Sorry I can't give you more than that.

OffensiveOkay. But what if NONE of your kids parents are Christians. That's our situation right now. We have exactly one parent of teens in our church, and she doesn't want her s coming to youth group.
